The Willet is a is a large shorebird in the sandpiper family. I love the way he stands in this painting, so resolute against the pulling this way and that of the ocean. This is a small painting and the fourth in a group of four shore bird paintings that I painted all at the same time.

The second image shows the painting as I have framed it. I chose double matting in blue and sandy tan, and textured wooden moulding to make the frame. All materials are of archival quality.
