Afternoon Showers, watercolor, $175, framed
When I began this painting, I was going to paint flowers. I decided to do a colored grayish background, and after it dried, I decided it looked like rain showers on a landscape. So instead of painting a grouping of flowers, I painted a simplified version of a landscape near my home.
The first image below shows the painting alone. You may click on the image for a larger view.
The second image shows the painting as I have framed it. I chose double matting in black and gray, a dark frame that really shows off the painting. All materials are of archival quality.
