These adorable little birds are a type of sandpiper called sanderlings. I love the way they always run! This small painting is the third in a group of paintings I did all at once of shore birds in North Carolina.
The first image below shows the painting alone.
The second image shows the painting as I have framed it. I chose double matting in blue and sandy tan, and textured wooden moulding to make the frame. All materials are of archival quality.
