Artist's Remarks:
I created this painting as a wedding gift for my sister-in-law and her new husband. They had a beautiful little wedding ceremony in front of the waterfall, and as they walked hand-in-hand, I snapped their photo, and then later painted this painting from the photo.
This is a good example of how a portrait does not have to be of a person "sitting in a chair". Why not paint people in the memorable situations of their lives? It brings a lot more personality and memories to the painting than a stiffly posed person in a chair!
