I painted this scene from a photo I took in June 2009. I began painting it in late December 2009 and finished in January. Orton Plantation is a beautiful place to visit. It's located in eastern North Carolina near the historic Brunswick Town. This scene is the road that is the entrance to the plantation.

The second image shows the painting as I have framed it. I chose double matting in dark grayish green and tan, and textured wooden moulding to make the frame. All materials are of archival quality.
